Italy has a long tradition of hatmaking. Just think of Borsalino or, in Tuscany, the famous straw hats of Florence. At Villa Santa Chiara, you can learn this art with Camilla Gallerini, a young entrepreneur specializing in the production and sale of hats. She will leave her atelier on Via Cecco Angiolieri, right in the historic center of Siena, to teach you her secrets right here, in a workshop in the Villa.

A demonstration workshop lasting about an hour and a half will show you how a hat is made: from choosing the materials to modeling on wood, to the final decorations. Participants will also be able to try on different models to find the shape that best suits their face.
